Happy two months!

Desmond turned two months old today, January 15th.  He's a very happy boy and has a fantastic temperament (not to mentioned the great startings of a beer belly and some healthy baby fat rolls on his legs!).  Here's his 2 month picture:

 

Another trick he's taken to is mimicking facial gestures from those around him.  His favorite is sticking out his tongue (which he'll do regardless of whether you prompt him).  Here's a good example:

Chunky Monkey

Our little monkey is getting chunky....11 lbs, 7 ozs to be precise!  He was born at 7 lbs, 2 ozs, so he's up more than four pounds in (just under) two months.  Not too shabby!

His pediatrician says he's at the 59 percentile for weight.  I say he's at the 100 percentile for awesomeness....

 

Some QT with Grandma & Grandpa Hoffman

Desmond broke in the new year with a visit from Grandma & Grandpa Hoffman.  We spent a couple hours in the warm sunlight of our semi-tropical January weather here in Minnesota.  Grandma & Grandpa are heading of on a cruise to the real tropics, so this was a send-off visit of sorts!

 

A Swinging Good Time

Happy 2012 to everyone visiting the blog (although we're already in the second week of the year)!  Not too much new to report from Team Hynes.  Desmond keeps growing and show us some new tricks every day.  He's recently taken a liking to his swing, which used to make him cry uncontrollably.  That's what we call progress in our household.  Here's a video of the little guy on his new favorite time waster:
